@Meije wrote:

Hi,

So i spend the last 2 days installing a completely new and clean OS onto the MeeGoPad T09, i formatted the partitions and installed windows 10 pro. After all the windows updates i ran a driver updater and so far it looks like most things are working. I only have one issue, the USB-C port does no longer work, it looks like the port is somehow turned off because when i plug-in a device it doesn't even give a messages that there are no drivers found, it does nothing. Is there anyway to get the USB-C port working again, do i need to install a driver for this, where can i download it?, thanks.

Cheers,
Meije

MeeGoPad T09 running hot with high power consumption even when CPU is idle

$

@olaf wrote:

Last week I bought a MeeGoPad T09 and I have noticed that the device gets hot, even if the CPU is idle. The lowest CPU temperature is 50-60° C and power consumption is always 7W and more (CPU Package and real power consumption) even when the load is 0%.
When streaming via Kodi the temperature is 70° C or more. This seems to be OK, but shouldn't the device cool down if it is idle?
On other x5-z8350 devices the CPU Package power consumption goes down to 0.5W or less and overall power consumption down to 3W to 4W with CPU temperature in the 35-45° C area.

Is this a known issue or is there a fix for this?

Buyers like "new", they get a kick out of the chance to attempt new things, it's hard-wired into our brains.

New is the co-pilot of fascinating, it permits to revive generally slacking consideration and can be an incredible email promoting technique for keeping delayed intrigue. There is an extraordinary variety in the way purchase email list refresh their bulletins. Some invigorate it constantly, both frame and substance, yet generally don't. My gut says that even less email promoting programs get invigorated in B2B than in B2C.

Chad White has observed all US retail email pamphlets for quite a while, he includes: "I'd say retailers do a noteworthy email layout overhaul like clockwork or so all things considered. Recharging your email is a smart thought, yet know and test the new outlines to check whether your outcomes aren't really driving backward a direct result of it. Changing around your messages to be crisp is an awesome email promoting technique for engagement.

Neither OEM Key nor MSDM found (T07)

@vep wrote:

Hi,
recently received MeeGoPad T07 (z38500, 4Gb version). Due to some postal problems it traveled to me almost half a year, so when it had finally arrived, BIOS battery was at zero level and all keys zeroed out. Windows started fine but there was no activation possible. What i did: enrolled and activated vendor keys in BIOS security tab, so the "Vendor Keys Active" string is now visible and key table is filled with some data, reset the system, restarted it with Secure Boot Standard and... Windows cannot activate.
I had changed Secure Boot from standard to custom, turned it off, reinstalled system - nothing. No activation.
I tried to extract keys with various programs (ReadEverything included but not limited to) and found out that there is neither OEM key installed nor the MSDM present. MS Support failed to activate this device by phone and redirected me here.
So? please provide instructions what should i do to activate otherwise very nice product.

[Review] MeeGoPad T09 (z8350)

@Kaiwa wrote:

[Review] MeeGoPad T09 (z8350)

Today we have a look at the MeeGoPad T09 (Z8350).
So... let's start!

Whats included?

Whats in the package?
1x MeeGoPad T09.
1x PowerSupply
1x MeeGoPad T09 manual.
1x MeeGoPad warranty card.
1x HDMI Mini to HDMI cable
I'm not really sure if the HDMI to HDMI Mini cable is included...

Device Design

At first glance the device seems like it is somewhat smaller than you would expect
from on the pictures, when you hold the device in your hand it feels very compact and the
material of wich the casing is made of makes it feel very cool, the casing is made of plastic with an extra layer of rubber.

The front side of the device features 2 Full Sized USB ports,
1 Micro-USB port, 1 Mini-HDMI port (Yes! it is at the front side XD)
1 3.5mm audio jack, SD-Card slot & ofcourse the Power button.
At the top is the MeeGoPad Logo & some ventilation holes (Theres a fan underneath!)
The backside doesnt have many port, only one RJ45 Ethernet jack & an USB-C port (And more ventilation holes)

Rating the appearance from 0 to 10, i'll would rate it 09/10
Mainly because of the weird place of the HDMI, if it was at the backside i would rate it 10/10

Inside the device it features... Magic Processor & Magic DDR!
Nah, seriously! x5-z8350 processor and 4GB DDR3, but for now im not getting into the hardware specifications too much!

PS: talking about hardware specificatiosn.. Yes!! This device has a Built in microphone!!

Gaming: Minecraft!

So lets have a look at Minecraft 1.8.1

On the lowest settings the FPS might vary from approximately 30 to 60fps
When walking and looking down at the grass you might get as high as 60fps
It might drop to 30fps once you get near places wich are graphic intensive such as fire, water & animals!

Other

Ethernet speed is pretty great! 154 megabytes per second, regular web-browsing is very fluid!

Youtube 1080p video playback is very smooth, 1440p is also very smooth when connected to ethernet cable, 1440p is not very smooth on wi-fi!

Anyone else figured a way to quieten the noise from the T09 fan? It's very high pitched and constantly runs - I have attempted to hide the device under my tv stand but it still can be heard across the room.

Could this fan be removed and a larger one mounted?

  • Extract the compressed file onto an FAT32 USB in the root
    directory(8GB min recommended). Tests were also successful with NTFS file systems.
  • Rename the USB drive to "winpe".
  • Plug USB into the device.
  • Now turn on the device, and immediately press "F7" or "DEL" key.
  • Select the USB device "winpe" from the boot manager options and
    installation will automatically start.
  • If the USB device does not show up in the boot manager, press
    CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart.
  • The installation will complete automatically and do not interrupt the
    installation.

Note: the usb can also be named "Removable storage device"
in the Boot manager option tab

Note: Windows activation is linked to the BIOS and we have no guarantee that your Windows will be activated after the upgrade. Take note of your activation key before installation.

T08 Fan Stopped working

@MADCATX wrote:

Hello, I've purchased T08 about 3 months ago, it was working ok.
But recently I've noticed perfomance problems, and after investigation task manager showed me that cpu runs at 0.2 Ghz, I've checked stick case and it was hot, fan is not runing.
I've also noticed fan slowdowns with connected web-cam (via usb) in the past, but now it doesn't work at all even with all usb devices disconnected. I think that is tied to 15 watt power supply not enough to power external devices and they need usb hub with external power supply.
Can you help me with instruction of opening of the stick case (I didn't find any screws) and suggesting me where I can buy a replacement fan? The current fan was also very noisy and I will prefer if new fan will be more silent.

Hello! Sorry for not good english. Try to explain.
I just bought Megopad T08. All drivers are installed correctly. Problem - when playing the sound at the beginning, there is a terrible noise in the speakers for about a second. Then everything with sound becomes normal. If the PC does not sound for more than one minute and then tries to play the sound again (any), a crunch appears again. how to solve a problem?

What Can You Do If You Device Gets Infected by Malware?

@StevenHall wrote:

It is a common thing that your MeeGoPad device gets infected by malware. What should you do if it does happen? Two choice: 1. formatting it; 2. remove the malware with your antivirus program or any other security tools. However, formatting is not a good idea if you have important files stored on your device. So, a better choice is to delete the malware. Here are some effective tools for you to remove a malware:

TDSSKiller - http://media.kaspersky.com/utilities/VirusUtilities/EN/tdsskiller.exe
